What Happened?

Have you ever looked in the mirror and asked yourself what really happened that the giant in you is yet to be fully awakened? If you are like most people, you had big dreams, desires and aspirations for your life. As a kid you likely wanted to be an inventor or a doctor or a professional football player. Then life got in the way and those dreams and ambitions faded with it. What happened to this life that you always imagined? Flash forward to today. If you were asked to tell a close friend about your progress so far in terms of actualizing your goals for this year, what answer would you give? Let's face the truth: if the circumstances surrounding you or the present socioeconomic realities is your excuse for abandoning your dreams and settling for the average life, then chances are that you've been living in self-deception. Achieving your dreams is not predicated on favourable experiences but on your ability to stay on course, take the risks, overcome hurdles, take daily actio

How To Have A Perfect Day (2)

If you really want to be more productive and make an impact in life, the first thing to do is to draw a demarcation between being busy and focusing on results. I've found that when I focus on results, I ensure that the right things get done, all the time. After making an honest assessment of what will throw you off track and banishing the interlopers from your battlefield as reflected in our previous discourse, you want to adopt a system of rules that will help you control your schedule and put things in perspective. The best way to do this is to create a "TO-DO LIST" Outline all your important activities for the day including the daily rituals you must undertake to realize your dreams, and tick each item off once the task is completed. If you're not used to moving around with diaries, then the 'spreadsheet program' on your laptop or the 'To-Do/NotePad/Reminder Apps' on your mobile devices are powerful tools to get you started. The idea is that when

How To Have A Perfect Day (1)

There are practically two ways to have a perfect day: a. Have a to-do-list b. Have a NOT-to-do list. I'll enunciate on the latter today, and leave the former for another day. You see, facing temptations and getting distracted is one of our every day experiences in life. Our temptations are so pervasive; our flaws, so easily exposed. Our weaknesses make us vulnerable. Humans, it sometimes seems, are built to fail. The answer to 'staying on course' and realizing your dreams against all odds is to have a NOT-to-do list. Be clear about what you will and will not do each day. Be clear about what you will not do for success. Some items are easy. You will not lie, cheat, and steal. Those don’t necessarily need to be written down. But you need to be clear that you: Do not stay longer than necessary in bed. Do not check email or head straight to Facebook and WhatsApp first thing in the morning. Do not mindlessly surf the Internet and click on every useless link that jumps up a

A Meaningful Life

If you grew up in an atmosphere of scarcity and want, you'd probably have been made to believe that a meaningful life is a case of abundance and sufficiency. If you grew up battling with a serious health challenge, your cerebrum would have been wired to conceive of the life devoid of pain as the meaningful life. You may not entirely be wrong. Your experiences and exposure have a subtle way of conditioning your perception of life, yet such perceptions are often lopsided and skewed to your domain of rationality unless they have universal applicability. A meaningful life consists of knowing what your highest strengths and talents are and using them in the service of something that you believe is bigger than you are. A meaningful life is a life of purpose expressed in committed service to God and humanity. So stop being hedonistic and living only for your own self. Stop trying to imitate the 'artificial lifestyle' portrayed on the media. Use every gift and talent deposited in

Home based businesses to earn extra income have become widely accepted all over the world are spreading like forest fire. They have become most desirable businesses to start for apparent reasons: Imagine how it would feel to get up at your own sweet time and not hurry to office in the regular chaos of snarling traffic all the while getting choked on pollution. What Babies Can Teach You About Life

God's delays are not God's denials. Sometimes we get upset because we put effort into something and don't get the result we're after.  It's like planting a seed and coming back the next day, hoping that the seed became a flower. It can take up to 12 months for a baby to walk; some do it in five months. Would you be upset at a baby because he didn't manage to walk in five months?  Surely not. You'd be patient, because you know your baby will walk, no matter what. You wouldn't be stressed or anxious every single day about it. You'd just be patient and kind until it happened. Why not apply the same attitude with yourself? Put your best effort into whatever you want to achieve and be patient with yourself. You'll eventually get there. Just like that, baby.

How to Save Yourself From Early Death

A major health epidemic is afflicting millions of people world over... and your doctor is completely ignoring it (as usual). It's... ·          Killing your sex drive ·          Causing memory loss ·          Causing cancer ·          Causing hips and necks to break ·          Damaging your heart ·          Increasing the likelihood you'll die in the next decade Economists think it costs businesses more than $60 billion per year in lost productivity. Studies show it leads to more than 1,500 deaths annually on the road. That's four deaths a day just from driving. You might have it and, like most people, not even recognize it. I'm talking about sleep deprivation. But you can take an easy test tonight to see if you're not getting the sleep you need...Try it tonight alone or with your spouse. This test will change your life. I guarantee it. In the mid-to-late afternoon, get in your sleep clothes (or whatever you normally wear to bed) a
