Stop Giving Excuses For Your Inertia

YOU must quiet the voice inside your head that offers excuses for not taking action and becoming the best that you can be. You must eliminate the thinking that you aren't "good on the microphone", or that you can't "be a great writer", or that you are "too busy to work on your potentials and reach for the stars".

For any excuse you might try to offer, all that I can say is:

Stop deceiving yourself.

Stop talking about all the big dreams you have if you are NOT going to take responsibility for making those dreams come true.

Stop encouraging your family and friends to change their lives if you're not going to make big changes in your own.

Stop talking and start doing.

Begin by doing the right thing – the hard thing – and get out of your own comfort zone and advance in life.

When you do, people will notice. People will be inspired. People will follow you.

It's not easy to inconvenience yourself in a bit to step up. It's tough to overcome the inertia and gravitational forces found in our comfort zones. But that's where we find the rewards, the personal growth, and the only path to reaching our potential.

Don't delay any longer. Get out there and overcome the biggest challenge in your life. Start acting outside of your natural inclinations. Challenge yourself to do more. Be more. Give more.

You can do it. I know, because like me, you already tell everyone else they can. If they can do it, so can you. If I can do it, so can you. It's time for you to stop giving excuses and start taking action.

Have an amazing day!

Focus On The First Step

If you ask me if success in life is easy to come by, I'll simply tell you the obvious: NO! But if you focus on the first step of whatever you want to achieve, the most difficult part would have been taken care of. Here is an interesting story to buttress my point. One day, I was at a camp meeting and I met this aspiring writer. I asked him how his book was coming along. "I didn't really getting started… I'm not sure my stuff will be good enough…" He was so insecure about his writing that he didn't even START writing anything. It's hard to become good at something you don't practice. I just explained to him that what really matters is taking the first step. The first step is really all that matters. If you can be the man or woman who always takes the first step, you become a force of nature. That's a really counter-intuitive secret to success. Every success I've had in my life was created because I took this first step. ...

One Word That Can Change Your Life...Starting Now!

There's a well-known saying by Mike Tyson, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face." This is when reality sinks in and you have to deal with the present situation you find yourself. There's a word that can transform your life no matter the drama that seems to characterize your existence, if you wholeheartedly embrace its meaning. That word is DETERMINATION. There's nothing more powerful than a determined person. Determination here implies firmness of purpose or the tendency to move in a certain direction. The determined individual always ends up getting what he wants from life. Here's your 5-step plan to be determined: Choose only a few important goals and stick to them. Cultivate the habit of writing your goals...say daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc Stop being idle or busy doing the wrong thing. Welcome each day with renewed effort to unleash your potentials and pursue your dreams. Walk straight with your head u...

Water Your Dreams

There’s an old saying by Lao Tzu that says: "Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear, and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions, and you will cultivate success." We all have dreams, and it's a good thing. The spirit needs to believe in something higher and bigger. The most important thing in life is to work a little bit every day on your dream. It doesn't matter if it's 15 minutes or 2 hours. Every day, we must make progress on our dream. Every day, we need to water our dreams for them to grow. You'll be amazed at how far your dreams can take you when you do something small in their direction on a daily basis. Every day, invest at least 15 minutes and make progress on a dream you have. Even if it's crazy. It could be reading a book, sending an email, doing a Google search, making a phone call, writing the first line of the book you dream to write. Any...
