Simple Trick To Help You Succeed At Everything You Do

There are three things that control your life. Your strategy, your stories, and your state.
A strategy is simply a way to go from A to B or get a specific result. This is why learning, training, and mentoring/coaching are very important.

The second are your stories. If I give you a plan to lose weight, but you keep telling me that you have "big bones", you'll never use it. Stories are the reasons we give to ourselves and to others for why we don't have or can't do something.
Sometimes, the story gets repeated so much with intensity that it becomes ALIVE.
Have you ever met someone who's having a problem today and explaining that it is because of something that happened five years ago?
This is his/her story.

Finally, there's your state. Your state is simply where you are emotionally. Are you tired, vibrant, excited, passionate, etc? States change during the day and the week.
Guess what?
Certain states trigger certain stories. You can condition yourself to be in a resourceful state by exercising every morning and changing your focus.

Usually we're stuck in an area of our life because of one of several of those things.
But here's a simple trick. Start by changing your state FIRST.
This will lead you to have empowering stories that will make you search and use the right strategy.
Have an amazing day!

Why Success Has Nothing To Do With Luck

What you believe has a tremendous impact on how well you can deal with the challenges of life. As a matter of fact, I believe that your belief system is the single most important factor in your success and happiness. In the course of my life, I held onto 4 beliefs that helped me through tough challenges. They helped me turn around my finances, faith, career, and interpersonal relationships. Here they are: 1. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON AND A PURPOSE TO SERVE ME This is the belief that helped me find the opportunities and the gift even in the face of adversity. 2. WHAT DOESN'T KILL ME MAKES ME STRONGER This is the belief that gets me going when I'm sad or hurt. I've scaled through moments of depression with the help of this belief. 3. I HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR, BUT FEAR ITSELF This is the belief that I repeat to myself every time I want to do something that scares me. This one is extremely liberating once you internalize it. What would you do wit...

A Must Read For Every Serious Income Earner

Recently, I was revising the notes I took from a business training I attended sometime ago, so I decided to share with you an incredible business insight that will change your perspective. Between earning linear income and passive income, which is better? Well, to make sense of the question, let's attempt a distinction between linear and passive income. If you're being paid once per month for the work or services that you have provided, chances are you're earning a linear income. Linear income is also called active income, where you earn one unit of income for one unit of your effort. To earn a linear income you also need to be present at your supposed workplace. Hence, doctors, lawyers, hawkers, or practically every employed or self-employed person are earning linear income. If they don't attend to their clients, they don't get paid. What about passive income? It is an income that you continue earning even when you're not working. ...

Why Your Beliefs Is Critical To Your Result

Few weeks ago, I attended an interesting webinar on the psychology of success. It was great, and I took a lot of notes. There was this female facilitator on the program who shared how, every time she was after a goal, she seemed to just give up when she was close to success. She was very ambitious and educated, but every time she was about to succeed, she dropped her efforts. In the course of speaking, she revealed that she grew up in a small, remote village in Africa, where the only women who had money and status were PROSTITUTES. So, she developed the belief that, if she became successful, people would think she's a prostitute. It was totally irrational, and she knew it. But the belief was so strong and ingrained in her subconscious mind that she kept sabotaging herself. A belief can destroy or build your life. I met students on campus who had EVERYTHING to excel in their fields of study, but always found a way to dread pushing themselves... It's...
