Water Your Dreams

There’s an old saying by Lao Tzu that says: "Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear, and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions, and you will cultivate success." We all have dreams, and it's a good thing. The spirit needs to believe in something higher and bigger. The most important thing in life is to work a little bit every day on your dream. It doesn't matter if it's 15 minutes or 2 hours. Every day, we must make progress on our dream. Every day, we need to water our dreams for them to grow. You'll be amazed at how far your dreams can take you when you do something small in their direction on a daily basis. Every day, invest at least 15 minutes and make progress on a dream you have. Even if it's crazy. It could be reading a book, sending an email, doing a Google search, making a phone call, writing the first line of the book you dream to write. Any

Common Sense Game Plan For Alchemizing Your Life

The world is changing rapidly, and there are plenty of opportunities for people like you, craving for meaning and engagement. The key is to keep learning new skills and becoming your best self. A few years ago, I made a commitment to myself, and it changed my life. My commitment was that I won't go anywhere on my own without reading a book or listening to an audio program. So I invested in what I call the greatest university on earth: An iPod. I started with an iPod before upgrading to a Smartphone that even makes life a little smarter. I load these mobile devices with motivational eBooks, business, and discipleship training materials, and also podcasts and interviews with experts. I don’t go anywhere without reading or listening to something that either uplifts my soul or enhances my skills. I learned negotiation, to inspire confidence in people, manage my emotions, start a business, and many other skills, just using my mobile devices. There's something magica

The Little-Known Secret Of Becoming A Connoisseur

Whether in the field of business, entertainment or sports, the best results and fun in life come from mastering something. You must recognize this fact and incorporate it into your psyche, if you truly want to be a voice in the world. There are 3 types of mastery. The first one is cognitive mastery: the understanding of something. It won't take you far, unfortunately. The reason is because a lot of people understand that unless they take daily actions towards their goals, nothing will happen. Yet so few do. The second one is emotional mastery. It's when you feel good about something, because you understand it, AND had positive experience with it. Think of the fellow who once in a while manages to revisit his deserted goals. He’s well above the man who only has cognitive mastery, yet far from being a master. The third one is physical mastery. It's when every part of your body has absorbed the skill. It only happens after REPETITION and CORRECTION. Have you eve

Common Sense Formula For Kicking Mediocrity Out Of Your Life

When you want to get on top of your game, and crush the enemy called average, it’s all about removing constraints and obstacles on your way to the top. It's very hard to stand out in a crowded world as ours when you have things between you and your goals. Become ruthless about keeping only what's necessary in your life. Anything that doesn't have a particular usage needs to go or be trashed. The reason is simple: If your life is too clumsy, you'll live in a total disorder and your life will perpetually be in disorder. So clear the crap from your life. The mobile apps, the habits and addictions, the food, the clothes, the electronics, the people… Understand what REALLY matters to your life. Put your energy there. Do this rather than falling into the common trap of occupying your existence with trivialities. Things that make you mediocre and unable to soar high. Have an amazing day!

There's a word that can transform your life no matter the drama that seems to characterize your existence, if you wholeheartedly embrace its meaning. That word is DETERMINATION. There's nothing more powerful than a determined person. Determination here implies firmness of purpose or the tendency to move in a certain direction. The determined individual always ends up getting what he wants from life. Here's your 5-step plan to be determined: Choose only a few important goals and stick to them. Common Sense For Very Ambitious People

When you're very ambitious and multi-talented at the same time, and you want to get on top of your game, it’s important to do it progressively. A lot of folks get overwhelmed and end up stuck in an awkward dilemma. They have several glimmering ideas but don't know how to pull the trigger. They keep trying to figure out what seems logical until they fizzle out in analysis paralysis. The best thing to do is to focus on one aspect of your calling at a time. If you're called to be both a blogger and a politician, master one vocation before wheeling to the other. You cannot be a big shot both in politics and blogging at the same time. It is insane to think that anybody can hack his way to success by pursuing too many goals. Invest all you've got into one thing, become a success in that one thing before moving on to something else. Have an amazing day!

The Power Of Clarity

Today, I want to use a popular place in the world to illustrate the power of clarity. Even if you've not been there, you'd probably be aware that the average fat cat in Nigeria is obsessed about travelling to Dubai, either for business or vacation. 40 years ago, Dubai had no roads, no real economy, and was at the bridge of collapsing. It was through the incredible leadership of its leader that Dubai became a global success. While most countries in the west are experiencing slow growth and political turmoil, Dubai is experiencing growth, prosperity, and global influence. One major key to the success of Dubai is 'the power of clarity'. Everybody in Dubai was and is focused on creating economic prosperity for the country. They’re not trying to do 100 things at the same time. Their prime chief objective is the prosperity of their country, or to say it bluntly: selling and marketing Dubai as a world hub and top destination. Their leaders are not was

One Common Sense Secret About Success

One interesting question I get all the time is, "What ONE thing can I do to become successful in business, ministry or calling?" Well, if there were one thing, every ambitious individual out there would do it. Success is not an event. You don't press a button and suddenly become a superstar. Someone will invest in a single book or attend a seminar and then complain that his life didn't change. Seriously? Success is a process. It's the combination of ALL the action you take toward reaching your goals. Every successful individual I've known or read about took one meaningful step at a time. There is no such thing as an overnight success. So if there's any advice I can give to you in this critical period of our national existence, it is for you to get busy. Don't sit idle at home and expect to experience a breakthrough. Recession or no recession, you must jump out of your comfort zone and take your destiny into your hands.

4 Things That Will Help You Overcome Mediocrity And Step Over The Top

LIKE YOU may be aware, our world is dominated by people who are inured to leading average lives and completely have no idea what it means to scale great heights. In view of this, I want to share with you 4 habits that you should start incorporating into your daily life to put things in perspective. 1). PURSUE A PASSION. Until you have figured out what drives you and be fully committed to it, you may hardly know the true essence of self-actualization. It doesn’t matter if you’re passionate about playing guitar or working the field of souls, put your entire life into it. This passion will make you go places. 2). USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. What’s the one thing most of us are guilty of? Not using our common sense in practical terms. We want to enjoy wealth and abundance, yet we don't give. We want to escape the rat race, yet we spend more than we earn. We want to be great leaders, yet we don't know how to respect people's time. Put yourself into a mind-frame where your l

Forgetting About Your Dreams

Here's a sharp question to chew over: "When exactly are you supposed to forget about your dreams?" Hint: Never. It’s never too late to become successful or accomplish your goals. You might want to draw inspiration from these few examples... Ray Kroc had passed his 50th birthday before he bought the first McDonald's in 1961, which he ultimately expanded into a worldwide conglomerate. Charles Darwin was 50 years old before he published 'On the Origin of the Species' in 1859, the book that espoused the theory for which he is best known today. Harland Sanders was 'a failure' who got fired from a dozen jobs before starting his restaurant, and then failed at that when he went out of business and found himself broke at the age of 65. Eventually, things started working out when he sold the first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in 1952. Here is something to reflect on: You can only lose the game of life if you give up. No matter how terrible the economy is o
